When you book a trip to Alaska, you assume all that it has to offer; great scenery, adventure, great fishing, and, of course, weather.  The weather in Western Alaska can vary greatly throughout the summer, from rain and wind, to warm, sunny days.  Since all of our trips require helicopter flying, weather will be a consideration for every operation.  The helicopters can fly with minimal ceiling and visibility requirements.  Occasionally severe weather, such as dense smoke or fog can ground the helicopter for several days in a row.  If we are grounded, there is still plenty of fishing via road access.  We will still fish everyday, and make the trip as enjoyable as possible.
Daytime highs during the summer on the Seward Peninsula average 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit, although 70-80 degree days are not uncommon on the inland rivers that we fish.  Lows average about 40-50 degrees, with record summer low temperatures around 30 degrees.  Pack the right clothes to stay warm outdoors all day in 50 degrees and rain or sunny and 75 degrees.
