Sheefish

Our Sheefish Adventure takes you north of the Arctic Circle to the best Sheefishing drainage anywhere.  Fly Alaska Airlines directly into Kotzebue.  Depending on arrival time, a night stay may be necessary in Kotzebue; it's on us.  Then take one of Bering Air's scheduled flights from Kotzebue, where you can catch a view of the Great Kobuk Sand Dunes, before you descend into the remote native village of Kobuk.  Your guide will meet you here, and you will head out on a 2 hour jetboat ride to the fishing camp.  You will be fishing the largest, healthiest population of Sheefish in the world for 4 days.  Accommodations are warm and dry, but not fancy.  Three basic meals are prepared each day.  Most of the fishing takes place from the boat, with several areas also available for shore fishing.  At the end of your stay, you will jetboat back to Kobuk and catch your flight to Kotzebue to end the trip.
